I don’t know about you but one of my favorite personal activities is attending live concerts. The amazing atmosphere and energy that surrounds a concert hall is truly awe-inspiring. The contrast of lights, noise and people serve to leave me feeling alive and ready for all of life’s mysteries.

However, like most people, the practice of concert going can prove to be a strain on the financial purse strings. With seats ranging anywhere from approximately sixty five dollars to five hundred dollars, depending on the artist and venue, concert going can prove to be an expensive hobby.

So, how does one find cheap concert tickets on the Internet? Well, this has proven to be a fine art to concert ticket shopping. Most Internet sites do not charge the same prices for the same seats in the same arena and for the same concert. This is where a little Internet search savvy comes in handy.

1.) Always start by conducting your searches in Google. Google has proven to be the most consistently informative search engine on the Internet.

2.) Always try to be as specific as possible regarding what you are looking for. For example searching for “cheap Jonas Brothers concerts tickets” as apposed to “cheap concert tickets” tends to yield better results.

3.) Using quotation marks in your search query also usually produces a more specific search result than searching without quotation marks.

4.) Prior to beginning your search plan on a specific travel distance you are willing to travel. Concert tickets are usually cheaper in suburban areas as opposed to inner city areas.

5.) When possible start your search with as much time before the concert as you can. Initially tickets may be sold for a little less than they will be sold once the event starts to reach maximum capacity.

6.) When you can, try to organize group tickets. Many concert venue’s and ticket sellers are able to offer discounts for multiple ticket purchases. Most cheap concert tickets will be available for a minimum of two.

7.) Search Ebay, Craigslist and as many other online classified sites that you can think of. Many people may wish to sell their tickets at the last minute due to unforeseen reasons that mean they can not attend the concert.

8.) Compare prices on as many reputable ticket seller websites as possible. Ticketmaster may offer a large selection of tickets but not necessarily the cheapest prices. Other sites, such as tickets.com may offer cheaper prices but be more limited in their selection of available tickets.

9.) Once you have located a supplier for the concert tickets you want at the price you can afford, please conduct complete due diligence before sending payment on divulging personal information. Whenever possible make your purchases using paypal. This should ensure some recourse against fraudulent sellers and provide a means to getting a refund incase things are not what they seem.

Finally, after all this work, shutdown the computer and enjoy the fruits of your labor. There is nothing quite like a good concert to awaken your inner teen. Let your hair down and have a great time!
